Running SUSE 11. There are two users on my server: root and tester (non-root)
Now to install IBM WAS (v8+), for security reason, should I login as root or non-root user?

Whenever possible things on computers should run as non-root users for
security reasons. Will the application work in that setup? Good

Good luck.

Often the installer will let you know…
prompt> ./install
prompt> --This application must be run as root!
