Hello,
is there a solution to install and register SLES 15 behind a proxy? It is not possible to configure a proxy in the network configuration mask and I don’t see the text field “Custom Boot Options” on the first page of installation to set a proxy there.

Please see
https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book.opensuse.startup/cha.boot_parameters.html#sec.boot_parameters.advanced.proxy
(though ignore the extraneous “l>” at the start of the proxy parameter
example which I’ve just reported). SLE15 and openSUSE Leap 15 are
closely aligned.

Thank you. I also found this, but I did not find the right place, where I could enter this. Is it the right way to switch to one of the other consoles while installing and to type it?

No, on the initial install boot screen (see figure 7-1 at
https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles-15/book_sle_deployment/data/sec_boot_parameters_start_x86_64.html
) you would enter proxy=… in the Boot Options field.

Yes, I had this option in SLES 12.3, too. But it seems to be vanished in SLES 15 (see screenshot https://ibb.co/iXGKjT). Is there an option to make it visible?
That’s weird, when I see the first boot screen and the active selection is on “Boot from Hard Disk” there aren’t any boot options visible. They appear as soon as I choose “Installation”, but your screenshot shows already the correct choice but not boot options.
What is the source of your installation? I just downloaded DVD-1.iso and started a test installation where the boot options are available.
I just checked again. I don’t have it on 12.3 either I downloaded the image from the official SUSE site, I also tried a new download today with the same result (https://ibb.co/m7AMyo). Maybe it is depending on the operating system? I try to do the installation on Microsoft Server 2012 R2 Hyper V host.
I can’t rule that out, but of course that could be the difference. I installed it on a KVM hypervisor and it works fine.

Any luck?
I’m using VirtualBox on openSUSE Leap and as soon as I move from “Boot
from Hard Disk” the Boot Options field appears. I’m booting from the
SLE-15-Installer-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD1.iso file as a virtual CD.
I will note however that my boot screen looks a bit different to yours
- http://susepaste.org/37976083 is with “Boot from Hard Disk” selected
- http://susepaste.org/65789780 is after changing the selection
You’ll notice in both that I have Function Key definitions listed across
the bottom of the screen plus the chameleon is smaller and in top left.
Presumably by “image” you mean an ISO file? Which one are you booting from?

For all those people out there who do’t see these options: These options are only shown on “BIOS” installations (e.g. ESX Server). If you chosse installation via EFI/UEFI Bios, these options are not shown as an security feature
