Installed system doesn't boot w/o UEFI

Hi.
I’m at home and the computer is at work, and not possible to try now.
One thing I have noticed is that I don’t have any EFI folder or any other *.efi filés if I look in the content of my Suse 11SP3 image??

If downloaded, did you verify the downloaded iso image checksum?

Hi
And your sure it’s a 64bit image? I’d have to ask my SUSE contacts to see if it’s around somewhere for download.

Aha. Maybe you have found the problem:)

It could be a 32-bit image.
I Will ser if I can find info of the bitnes.

Do you think suse11SP3 64-bit version is available? We paying right now for every system we ship with suse11sp3 32-bit.
Maybe possible to change to 64-bit if that Will work

You can download an ISO of 64-bit SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SP3 from
https://download.suse.com/Download?buildid=Q_VbW21BiB4~

You only need DVD1.

Hang on a minute, I just realised you’ve posted in a SUSE Linux
Enterprise Desktop (SLED) forum. Will need to find a download
link for the ISO for that.

Yes.
A SLED iso would be great

Hi

Meanwhile I wait for a SLED iso I tried SLES installation. And that works. It boots up from Harddisk.
But I would be happy if it is possible to get a SLED11SP3 iso.

Hi
Good news and using elilo too I would guess, hopefully Simon can track
the SLED iso image down.

Unfortunately I can’t. Whilst I found an old SUSE download link for SLED11 SP3 it’s no longer valid.

I think the official answer is to log a Service Request with SUSE but given that the filename (SLED-11-SP3-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD1.iso) and MD5 checksums are known - see ab’s second reply at https://forums.suse.com/archive/index.php/t-5284.html - you should be able to find the file hosted elsewhere and verify the checksum to prove it’s not been tampered with.
