installing libcur and libldap on SLES 10

Hello,

Where can I find libcurl and libldap RPM packages for SLES 10?
Packages for SLES 11 failed to install.
Yast and zypper cant be used, so need rpm’s.
Searching internet over an hour didnt turn anything up.

OS version:
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64)
VERSION = 10
PATCHLEVEL = 2

Any suggestions welcome,
Mike

As always, it may help to understand the business case behind your
technical requirement, including any limitations you have preventing the
obvious answers like upgrading (too risky, no new media, etc.), or using
another box with curl/ldap libraries (isolated environment, wrong other
resources on the box), or using the install media (maybe you do not have
those).

If we know the whole situation we may be able to find the specific RPMs,
or propose better alternatives, or maybe some other bits of magic.

Otherwise if I go to https://download.suse.com/patch/finder/ and choose
SLES as the product from the drop-down, I find a lot of SLES 10 SP2
patches when I put ‘libldap’ in the text field below, including this one:

https://download.suse.com/Download?buildid=XKzKxf2mMWM~

Good luck.

Given that SLES10 SP2 is no longer supported, with SLES10 SP4 not even
covered by Long Term Service Pack Support, is there a reason why you’re
still using this release and version?

A similar search for libcurl will not find anything because it is
actually included within the curl-devel package which is available via
the SDK (and has since been updated) so you would need to search against
SLE SDK for curl-devel.

Thanks for responses.

The packages are required for Zabbix agent, so they need ot be on every server.
There are only a few SLES 10.2 servers out of 100’s, somehow they fell through the cracks.
Apparently the plan is to have them upgraded within a year, but that decision is above my paygrade.

We might just wait for those servers to get upgraded, I got same advice on Zabbix forum.

Btw, when I click on “proceed to download” link in the suse downloads link above, it says I’m not authorized.

Do you have Standard or Priority subscription for SUSE Linux Enterprise
Server? If your SLES10 SP2 are covered (even though you have chosen not
to update and upgrade) then you should be able to get the updates.

Please see https://www.suse.com/support/faq/#supportQ4 and
