Hi all,
Sorry for the noob question. I have downloaded the .ISO of SLED SP2 and had it copied to a USB drive both uncompressed and via an ISO to USB program. However the Dell won’t boot from the USB. In the BIOS option I have secure boot turned off but the only boot device option that appears is “Windows Boot Manager” I can see the light on the USB drive flashing during start up but it goes straight to load Windows 10.
I’ve read about other people successfully installing SLED on this laptop but for the life of me, I can’t get it to work
Any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks.

What you don’t say above is that you have checked/changed the boot order
in the BIOS so that USB is before hard disk. Without that the computer
will always boot from the hard disk (which has Windows 10 installed)
unless the disk fails.

Hi Simon,
The Dell BIOS didn’t show the option for the USB, however I extracted the .ISO with WinRAR to the USB stick and inserted it in to the laptop whilst it was booting. I pressed F12 to bring up the options to allow setup and magically the USB drive was detected, I just highlighted it and it’s now installing
Thank you for your assistance.
Cheers.
