K3s Cluster Update limited to 1.28.x

Hi Everybody!

I am running in Rancher 2.8.3.
I created K3s clusters in version 1.28.8.
Those K3s clusters has be updated to 1.28.11 easily through Rancher cluster management section.
But Rancher only propose me update available in 1.28.x branch.

I didn’t see in the documentation point about that.

Is there a way to add 1.29.x, 1.30.x update branch to update availability throught Rancher?

Or does it need to be done obligatory trought k3s node itself?

From my understanding Rancher has to be at higher version. SO you will need to update your rancher manager to a newer release and then you can upgrade the managed clusters.

Correct, you need rancher >=2.9 ( It was relased today) for k8s >=1.29
