Latest versions of EKS are not visible while upgrading EKS Cluster

Hi Geeks,

I am trying to upgrade my EKS cluster using Rancher UI. But problem is that latest versions like 1.27 and 1.28 are not visible in drop down list. Only 1.26 is available which I have already upgraded to.
Please guide me for fixing this issue.

Hi @aharju ,

You are probably using Rancher v2.7.X, which does not support Kubernetes >v1.26.
Please check the Rancher Support Matrix.

Beginning Rancher v2.8.0, support for Kubernetes v1.27.X has been introduced, you should be able to upgrade your EKS from Rancher v2.8.0. (I didn’t try that, it might be different for EKS).
