SLES for the Raspberry Pi was announced on November 7, 2016 and is a full 64-bit OS for the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. It is based on the SLES for ARM. More information can be found in the blog at https://www.suse.com/communities/blog/suse-linux-enterprise-server-raspberry-pi/.

SUSE made SLES for the Raspberry Pi available to encourage more people to become familiar with SUSE and SLES. Anyone can download it by going to http://tinyurl.com/slespi. A year of free, self-service subscription is provided.

A “quick start” guide found at https://www.suse.com/documentation/suse-best-practices/sles-rpi-quick/data/sles-rpi-quick.html is provided to help you get started installing SLES on the Raspberry Pi.

There are a few tricks that can help you though the registration process. See https://forums.suse.com/showthread.php?8508-Getting-started-SLES-for-Raspberry-Pi-Subscription-Codes
