I’ve been thinking about using Rancher to spin up a load balancer on my Rancher master with LetsEncrypt and that good stuff to make my master https. I’ve been thinking through it and I’m uncertain what Risk I might be setting myself up for with this kind of “inception” setup. Is there anything high risk that I might be missing?
Yes, do not taunt Happy Fun Ball. If it’s ever shut down the balancer won’t come up until the host is active, and the host can’t become active until it can talk to the server, through the non-running balancer.
(and 2.0 has SSL and LetsEncrypt built-in)
