We have two locations which are both production plants.
IP of Location A: 10.133.58.58
IP of Location B: 192.168.0.0
SAP HANA is also located at location B.
Location A is pinging many devices in location B, except HANA. (Operating system on HANA: SLES 11 SP3)
I also would like to emphasize that, SAP HANA is actively working at location B and we have no issues with SAP which works smoothly. ÂOnly problem is ping Â
Additionally, we use IPsec VPN between these 2 locations.
Do you guys think that, operating system is closed for pinging ?
I would be grateful if I could hear your comments on this issue and thanks in advance for your prompt responseÂ

what are these IPs? The first looks like a host IP, the second seems to be a network IP.
If the second address is to be the SAP HANA host’s IP address, please verify If it’s the network IP, which is the SAP host’s IP (incl netmask or CIDR notated) and could you please give one or two examples of IPs at site B that you can ping from site A?
Can you ping the SAP host from a different host at site B (to rule out that the SAP host is configured to drop ICMP echo requests)?
