[Senior Messaging System Engineer]

Comprised of various functional groups and Network IT departments,
Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) is responsible for all
of HHCÂs information systems and network infrastructure. EITS staff has
strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills. With an
aptitude for computer technology, EITS staff exhibits proficiency in
spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
JOB SUMMARY
Provide support, administration, troubleshooting, reporting and project
management for an environment consisting of GroupWise v8 & 2012 NCS/BCC
cluster, OES2, SLES 10/11, Novell Data Synchronizer, Novell Instant
Messenger, Novell Identity Manager, GWAVA Reload/Retain, eDirectory,
Password Self Service and FTP.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Build, configure, and administer Novell/Groupwise platform
 Coordinate the installation and upgrades of hardware and software
 Interact with IT staff and vendors regarding complex testing or
troubleshooting issues
 Provide documents standards and operating procedures
 Provide input on budget, strategic and capacity planning, process
improvements, and engineering design
 Present project status, issues and other key information to
management, peers and stakeholders
 Provide effective communication at all levels of management, peers
and customers through clarity of expression and the ability to organize
thoughts both written and oral
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
 Required 5 years experience in implementing, managing,
troubleshooting & administering Novell eDirectory in an Enterprise
environment
 Required 5 years experience in implementing, managing,
troubleshooting & administering Novell GroupWise in an Enterprise
environment
 Required 5 years experience installing and managing Linux in an
Enterprise Environment, including any of the following: OES2, SLES10/11,
OES11, RedHat
 Required Experience implementing Novell Clustering on SuSE Linux
 Required Working knowledge of SAN and fibre channel connectivity for
Linux servers. Experience with EMC/Hitachi a plus
 Required Working knowledge of LAN Protocols
 Required Strong knowledge of iManager, ConsoleOne Management Tools
 Required Experience with NSS, NCP, NFS, EVMS, LVM
 Required Experience with implementing LDAP authentication against
eDirectory and Active Directory
 Required Experience with Remote Administration (KVM, Lights Out,
WebEx and other desktop sharing) a must
 Required MS exchange working experience 3-5 years
 Required Enterprise project roll out experience
 Preferred Working knowledge of Novell Business Continuity Clustering
 Preferred Working knowledge of MYSQL and MS SQL
 Preferred Working knowledge of GWAVA Reload, Retain and Vertigo
 Preferred Experience with GroupWise to MS Exchange Migration (MS
Exchange 2010, 2013 and Office365 a plus)
 Preferred Working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows
2003/2008,2012, Windows XP/WIN7
 Preferred Experience using Visual Click’s DSRazor and DSMeter, and/or
JRB utilities
 Preferred Working knowledge of Novell IDM v3.x/v4.x
 Preferred Working knowledge of Novell IDM Password Self-Service
 Preferred Working knowledge of Novell Netware
 Preferred Experience with implementing SFTP/FTPS (NWFTPD, PUREFTPD)
on Linux
 Preferred Experience using BMC Remedy
 Preferred Experience with scripting (bash, perl, python, powershell,
php, ruby)
 Preferred Experience with implementing Web Servers and Application
Servers on Linux (Apache, Tomcat, IIS)
 Preferred Experience with Monitoring Tools (i.e.: Nagios, SCOM,
SNMP)
