I’m afraid this position has been filled.

It’s not. On the plus side, it unfortunately was a budget issue.
Performance wise I get high marks so at least it’s not a complete ego
shredding.

That’s rough, but you’re good at what you do, and I’m sure you’ll find
something quickly.

Thanks Jim, It’ll be in a Microsoft world I’m sure. I installed a few
2008 servers in a vm last night with exchange to start refreshing myself
on that. I miss ConsoleOne already

LOL. I just sigh every time I fire up my XP VM to run it.

One of my clients has a 2008 server. It’s like managing Redhat.
Somebody else set it up and made a mess out of it. I cringe any time
they call.

Yeah, going down that path already - its doubtful my next employer
will consider my decades in the Novell support path of value, and nobody
seems to care about SLES certification either.
So, Win2008, Exchange 2010 and SQL 2008 are on my training list for
this quarter.

I don’t think 2008 server is bad at all. I haven’t touched Redhat since
8 or 9. Unless you want to count CENTOS 6.x That I’ve used recently.

Make that 2008R2 – not 2008 server. R2 – Windows 7, 2008 - Vista…
