Missed libsmi.so.2 while installing tcpdump from repository

Hi there,

I got a problem to install tcpdump on SLES 15.
I followed the steps on the page below of below link, updated the repository information on SLES 15.

https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=network%3Autilities&package=tcpdump

But, I got the error below while installing tcpdump. Tried to download libsmi.so.2 from some packages, no luck.

zypper install tcpdump

Problem: nothing provides libsmi.so.2()(64bit) needed by tcpdump-4.9.3-63.1.x86_64
Solution 1: do not install tcpdump-4.9.3-63.1.x86_64
Solution 2: break tcpdump-4.9.3-63.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/c/d/?] (c): 1

Nothing to do.

Hi and welcome to the Forum
You should not be downloading/installing from the openSUSE repositories?? Have you not registered the system for updates, as tcpdump is part of BaseSystem module?

SUSEConnect -p sle-module-basesystem/15.1/x86_64
zypper install tcpdump-4.9.2-3.9.1
