I have a network of SLES11 SP1 servers and have just established a NIS Master, Slave and currently one client. My users are supplementary members of several groups. If I log into the user and enter “groups” sometimes I see all the supplementary groups listed, at other times there are groups missing. The effect of the missing groups is that my application fails with “permissions problem”. At other times I see my supplementary groups listed twice. Is there any specific updates I need to SLES11 SP1 (64 bit) to use NIS?
