In the difficult times we are living, I feel so lucky to be able to be who I am. Lucky to have had people before me fight and die for the rights that today I can enjoy as a member of the LGBT+ community. But a lot of people are still struggling, are still fighting (and sadly dying) for equality. While it is hard and sometimes impossible to understand someone else’s struggle, I feel that as a society the minimum we can do is trust each other and acknowledge what’s been given to us, the privileges that we’ve enjoyed, and that equality also starts from losing those privileges.
I hope we can one day live in full harmony.
