Well it seems I can reply now, when I looked at the posting permissions
before, everything said You may not and whatever the task is.

Have you tried creating a thread? Oh, I think if you’re a new member,
there are things you cannot do for a certain amount of time. So you may
not be able to create a thread, but you may be able to reply. You may
have to reply to this message and some more to be able to post a thread.
Those restrictions were put into place to keep down the spamming.
