NNTP appears to be up again!

This isn’t official, so don’t get grumpy with me if it goes down again,
but as of this moment, NNTP seems to be up again. The notice above
regarding it being offline will be taken down when it’s official that
the problem has been resolved and NNTP is officially up again.

Just FYI…

I’ve been connected to nntp.novell… for years with no problem.
However, this last several weeks my reader (Thunderbird) has been
timing-out, then connecting for a few seconds, then timing-out.

I’ve just (near midnight on 11 Nov.) moved over to nntp.opensuse…
seems to be having no problems at the moment.

nntp.opensuse.com or nntp.suse.com are the primary nntp addresses
that should be used. I use the latter, myself. : )

But nntp.novell.com and nntp.netiq.com should also work - all Micro
Focus forums should exist on both pairs.

Yes, it should work, however I’ve personally experienced issues with
nntp.novell.com that I don’t experience with nntp.suse.com. So while
it should, it appears it actually doesn’t work the same. : )
