I have exactly same problem, VPN tab missing when “Available to all
users” is checked. It happened sometime few months ago after I installed
updates, I think after kernel update.
Beside the missing tab problem I have another problem, my VPN
connection keeps failing to connect. I imported the Cisco config file
again but it does not work. When I try to connect vpn using vpnc with
the same config file converted to vpnc config file in the shell I am
getting “Segmentation error” message.
When I try this on my laptop with Network Manager in SLED11 using the
same config file everything works fine.
Does anybody know how to fix it?
