Running together with rancher v1

I’m trying to migrate workloads from rancher 1 to 2. Is it possible to run rancher 1 and 2 on the same host, so I can migrate services one at a time? I tried running it but rancher-agent refuses to start after starting the v2 agent, I suspect its because they try to share the same /var/lib/rancher directory.

Is there anyway to run both concurrently?

There may be a better solution, but I found a way that seems to work. I’m running rancher 2 on docker:stable-dind in rancher 1. It isn’t a perfect solution, but it does allow me to experiment with rancher 2.
