SAP Basis Knowledge Gathering: How to install SAP on Linux?

This thread is for aspiring SAP Basis Consultants. This thread would be to specifically look for a step by step guide to installing SAP on a Linux environment with Oracle as the database.

Assumptions :

OS Bit : 32
OS : Linux OpenSUSE 13.1
SAP : ECC 5
Database : Oracle 10

Error : “error while loading shared libraries: libstdc+±libc6.2-2.so.3”

Installed a 32 bit OpenSUSE 13.1 on a PC as single and primary OS
Logged in as user
From “Terminal” navigated to the path where “sapinst” is located
Executed “./sapinst”
Got error - “error while loading shared libraries: libstdc+±libc6.2-2.so.3”

Kindly assist…

I’m afraid you’ve misunderstood the purpose of this forum. This forum is for issues relating to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP applications, which is not what you are using. If you’re looking at getting SAP working on openSUSE, you want the openSUSE forums.
