SATA link down

Hi Experts,

I am recently started to see the following messages in /var/log/messages and this is only printed whenever the server boots up after reboot. This is a production node and things are working pretty fine. Not sure why suddenly this log started to print after server reboots…

Hi Amit,

is there anything attached to those SATA ports? If not, “link down” seems reasonable.

Have these messages only recently appeared on reboot on this server, without any other change? Or have you just stumbled across them and wonder what it’s about?

Regards,
J
