SBD Partition creation for SAP Business One, HANA HA with Auto Fail over

Hi Experts,
We are trying to setup SAP B1 HA Auto fail over and one of the requirements is to create a shared storage with conditions below.

  • No partition exists on these blocks.
  • The size of each block is no less than 10 M
    We can use a separate linux machine as shared storage server but my questions are:
  1. How to create storage block device. Tried creating VHD using dd command and mounting it to a loop device but i’m not sure if that’s supported. Please see sample below from the setup guide.

    The VHD i’ve created will only be mounted as /dev/loop compared to /dev/mapper/vgsbd-test.
