I have two physical machines running SLES 11 SP4. They are needed to have a shared storage from FC SAN that could be further used by Oracle RAC cluster in an Active-Active
configuration.
How could I achieve shared storage mounted on two servers for simultaneous I/O operations. Is there any server level clustering also involved or just formatting the lun devices with OCFS2 would do the job?

Oracle clustering is done entirely in oracle software and is mostly
unrelated to the OS, but quite frankly: Don’t try this at home. RAC is
about the most complex and convoluted piece of software I’ve ever seen,
and it’s extremely easy to do it entirely wrong.

I just need to have a shared LUN from FC SAN on both machines . Is there
a feasible way to do that?

This isn’t a question for the OS really. FC by default is shared
physically if you configure your hardware that way, and the rest is up
to oracle.
