I keep seeing the following log in /var/log/messages:
Nov 24 21:44:23 BD1 zmd: ShutdownManager (WARN): Preparing to sleep…

Nov 25 03:45:25 BD1 zmd: ShutdownManager (WARN): Going to sleep, waking up at 11/25/2013 15:02:21
I checked it seems related to ‘powersaved’ daemon. It is running and auto startup. I believe it can be turned off without impacting any application specially SAP but I am not too sure. Could you guys please advise if ‘powersaved’ can be turned off safely?
BTW, this is old version. It is SLES 10.4 and vm machine.

if unsure (and only annoyed by the warning messages), you might set “DEBUG” to 1 in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/common. Per default, the value “3” is assumed (output error and warning messages), “1” will set that to “only error messages”.
I don’t think turning off powersaved has any bad side effects, but SLES10 is rather old and I wouldn’t want to bet something important (like my main SAP server) on it.

That looks like a Zenworks message. Are you using Zenworks?
