I will try SLED12 in my laptop. I will try install:

  • Skype;
  • Multimidia;
  • Steam.

For Skype I use the Dynamic build from
http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-linux/

For codecs I use
https://www.suse.com/communities/conversations/additional-multimedia-codec-support-sled-12/

I haven’t tried getting Steam working on SLED. Google yields nothing useful. You could try adapting the openSUSE instructions but don’t expect them to work as is. openSUSE 13.1 is closest to SLED 12. Remember, SLED is designed for Enterprise users. Steam is not something one typically finds in an Enterprise environment :wink:

i want to take a windows machine remotely from SLED12, remote desktop viewer is not working, please suggest me any other remote client.

Your post has nothing to do with the subject for which the original poster started it. Please start your own thread rather than posting unrelated questions in an existing thread.

It would help people to help you if you explained exactly what you mean by ‘not working’. Does the application not launch? Does the application launch but produces error messages? Does the application launch but fails to establish a connection? Are you certain that things are set up correctly on the Windows machine - can you connect to it from a machine other than your SLED 12 machine?
