Hello,
I am attempting to write a Perl script that connects to a MSSQL server 2008 R2. I’ve done some Google’ing and I have found EasySoft, which seems to do a nice job, but costs quite alot. So I’ve found this guide:
http://gheeknet.wordpress.com/2011/10/13/perl-to-microsoft-sql-server-2008-standard-via-odbc-using-freetds-drivers/
It uses Freetds, which seems to only be available for OpenSuse. So, what alternative do I have? Are there any other ways of achieving this? I haven’t been able to find anything.
Thanks in advance,
Jacob.

Fortunately others have used the openSUSE Build Service[1] to
package FreeTDS for SLES11 SP1[2].
Try adding the repo from https://build.opensuse.
org/package/binaries/home:csbuild:DBA/freetds?re
pository=SLE_11_SP1 (URL may wrap).
