I installed the 2 x11 updates today to 2 different servers and have the same results…
2 updates were:
Security update for xorg-x11-libXrender
Security update for xorg-x11-libXv
After they are installed I can no longer use the graphical on-line update for yast. It immediately throws a error… and will not run… these 2 updates were released today
any ideas ??

I don’t have the message here with me. I can reproduce tomorrow…I also installed a new sles11 sp4 server today also…nothing else installed except the os. After it was installed from the DVD (in VMware)…everything went as normal… after the server was up…went into yast…online update…did all the updates available…rebooted…then tried to go back into yast…online update…and that is when the error is thrown…same exact error I got when updating a previously installed server that only needed these 2 X11 updates mentioned above

slessp4-xorg-x11-libXrender-12885 “yast2 online_update” fails with this
message:
terminate called after throwing an instance of ‘YUIPluginException’
what(): Couldn’t load plug-in qt
YaST got signal 6 at YCP file Wizard.ycp:708
/sbin/yast2: line 435: 17713 Aborted (core dumped)
$ybindir/y2base $module “$@” “$SELECTED_GUI” $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS
A package downgrade with
zypper in --oldpackage xorg-x11-libXrender-7.4-1.16.8
xorg-x11-libXrender-32bit-7.4-1.16.8
fixes it.
