I am trying to install SLES 12 SP1 in SUSE Linux Xen VMWare and receiving the below error.
Unable to create repository
from URL ‘hd:/?device=/dev/xvdb’.
Details:
[SLES12-SP1-12.1-0|hd:///?device=/dev/xvdb] Valid metadata not found at specified URL
I hope someone can help me out to fix this issue.

hm, to me these would be two different environments: Either it’s Xen, or it’s VMware on Linux?
If the hypervisor is actually VMware, then “/dev/xvdb” is an unusual device naming.
If it’s Xen, then how is the DomU configured, regarding block devices?
