SLES 12 SP2 GUI is messed up on VMware vSphere 5.5 clients

A new install of SLES 12.2 has GUI that behaves erratic. Some inputs will replicate key stokes numerous times. The screen will slit in four and be completely unusable. Application installs will have parts of GUI cut off so the continue/cancel/back buttons do not show…

open-vm-tools 10.1.0-8.1

SLES 12 sp1 works fine in same environment

open-vm-tools 10.1.0-5.3.1

I copied the rpm from 12.1 and installed on 12.2, fixed the GUI but breaks the ISO access for installs!

Any fix for this issue?

Thank-you for using the forums.

It does not seem like anybody else has seen this issue, or at least seen
your thread on it, so it may be best to open a Service Request (SR) in
order to see if the company can provide a fix. Now may be a good time for
this, as I recently heard about the SP3 beta, so getting this kind of fix
in soon would make everything work going forward out of the box in newer SPs.

Good luck.
