SLES 15 network config commands

Hi

I want to be able to add and remove a seconday adress to eth0 using command line.
I want to avoid hacking the network files, not sure if “ip a add {ip_addr/mask} dev {interface}” will change the static adress or add (dont have the possibillity to play around)

Appreciate if anyone of you experts can assist with a cmd.
