We are trying to install SLES 15 SP3 for SAP applications but whenever I am reaching the root password, server hangs on Retrieving cracklib-dict-full.rpm extension. Server has internet connection and is registered, it is a Fujitsu primergy rx2560 M2 with latest BIOS installed.
Can anyone help please?
@Abdallah Hi, did you verify the iso image sha256 sum your using? Are you installing via media or USB?
No I did not verify it, but I tried multiple ISO images and all giving same issue. I am using a USB.
@Abdallah how are you creating the USB image? I would check the download sha256 sum though… just to be sure.
I tried rufus and ISOtoUsb software. How to check the sha256?
@Abdallah I’m guessing your on Windows, I would suggest getting the program dd to copy the image onto the USB device. Likewise you need the program called sha256sum to check the iso image.
See here for the file you need (depends on what image was downloaded), you need the file ending in sha256 https://www.suse.com/download/sle-sap/
Then if you run the program in the directory containg both the iso and sha256 files;
sha256sum -c <your_image>.sha256
