SMP in SLES10 and SLES11 and NETFILTER module

Hi:

I wrote a simple Netfilter module in SLES10 and I notice that the
system does balancing between CPUs. Use the SMP kernel and BIGSMP. I
used the SAR command to check. I even put counters in my module. The
system do balancing at application level but not in my module.

SLES11 paradoxically makes balancing between CPUs but the network
transfers are slower.

Someone knows what’s the problem here?

Thanks,

Rigoberto
