Strange ] in front of user

Hey everyone,

has anyone any idea why there is a “]” in front of the user

root@lvkdeappt01 [/home/UMRICH1]: su - dmgr dmgr@lvkdeappt01 [~]: logout root@lvkdeappt01 [/home/UMRICH1]: su - wsas [COLOR="#FF0000"]][/COLOR]wsas@lvkdeappt01 [~]:

This happens only with my wsas user :frowning:

Hi and welcome to the Forum :slight_smile:
Check the user ~/.profile or shell eg ~/.bashrc where PS1/PS2 is set, maybe an extra character there somewhere
