With Red Hat dropping support for docker for various reasons in RHEL 8, is it on the roadmap for Rancher to support other container technologies (such as Podman) for on premises custom clusters?
I assumed it wasn’t going to work but to be sure, I spun up a RHEL 7.7 host with Podman to test if it could be added to a custom cluster and can confirm that this does not currently work. The agent successfully contacts Rancher so the node is registered but then cannot proceed with the logs saying that the agent cannot connect to the Docker daemon.
