SUSE 12 - ntp fails to start ?

I’m playing with SUSE 12 and teaching myself the systemctl command. I’ve tried to get the ntp server to run but keep getting weird responses:

systemctl start ntpd.service – just hangs

systemctl status ntpd.service – shows conflicting information

Process: 1345 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/start-ntpd start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
ntpd.service start operation timed out. Terminating

Not sure what I’m doing wrong ?

Hi
Nothing :wink: It’s a known bug;

https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=898438

There will be a maintenance update to fix the apparmor profile for ntpd.

Good Afternoon,

I am seeing the same problem with NTP not starting on SUSE Enterprise 12. Any ideas, or have a hit a bug?

Where you able to read the bug I listed in my previous post?
