tune2fs for an ext system throwing error

Hi,

I have a SLES12 system that has its root partition on a btrfs disk. I have attached a disk that has an ext4 filesystem.
For my requirement, I need to change the uuid of the partitions on this new disk. I get a command execution error for tune2fs.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
