Upgrading RancherOS AMI in AWS requires terminating instance

We’re currently using v0.7 and looking to upgrade to 1.0. This requires terminating the AWS instance and creating a new one.

Is there a standard way to do this that preserves the data in rancherOS? Ie hosts, services, users, IP of the load balancer…

There is upgrade support in RancherOS, https://docs.rancher.com/os/upgrading/

Not sure if you’re mixing RancherOS and Rancher, let me know a bit more about your usecase so I can give some advice.
