I have set up a UYUNI server for patching and updating packages on Centos, Ubuntu, and Debian servers. These machines contain Tomcat, Nginix, Apache applications with SQL and Nosql databases. Is there any best practice for managing these package updates on the machines without updating the packages that can break the applications and databases? I have found that you can exclude some packages on a channel, but is there a better way to do it?
