Winfax replacement with software support in 2013

Hi all,
I have a customer who is still using Winfax. The feature they love is the
really simple way they can resend the failed faxes by simply dragging them
to the outgoing queue. They use broadcast lists, lots of them.
Anyways, they are concerned that it is no longer supported, being such a
legacy peice of software.
Anyone know of a modern equivalent that isn’t a $23,000 Rightfax server?

You didn’t indicate the size of the company, so I’ll just throw this
out there. Have you looked into HelloFax or some other online fax
service? They’ve got drag and drop, and I’m going to venture a guess
that for corporate users they have fax broadcast capabilities and
scheduling, but I don’t know for sure. I’ve only used them on occasion
for single faxes from a free account for the odd time anymore than
anything needs to be faxed. They also support fax signatures.

You can fax to a phone number or an email address. Just an idea. If it
wouldn’t work for that company, oh, well. : )

Well the sales people at our office have found some solutions that are
modern and supported, GFI Fax is one they told me about today, but I will
let them know about this angle. I don’t think we had investigated and
online service at all in our few conversations we had about it.

I wonder what they can do for people in +64 land

All good info, thanks[color=blue]

There used to be an open source product called hylafax.
We use Esker VSIFAX.

Thanks for the lead. I have since had a meeting with the client’s IT and
received a list of 700 numbers that they want to be put into broadcast
groups. I can now see why they like Winfax so much; it is the right sized
solution for their business. Their IT is bringing them into 2013 but the
clients they fax will probably be another 20 years behind due the nature of
the workflow.
Easy resend of failed is the number one concern.

Thanks for the options, I appreciate it.
