18 Nov 2018 - Daylight Saving Time Starts

Hello.

Sorry for my English.

Our daylight saving time has changed again and will now start no more on 04 Nov 18 but on 18 Nov 18.

Will Suse launch some patch or some work around?

Thank you.

Hi ViniKosmo,

welcome to the forums.

This is no official support forum (but rather a user-to-user forum), but if you tell us which timezone it is, I’ll try to look up an answer from SUSE.

Edit: Looks like we’re talking about Brazil: https://www.timeanddate.com/news/time/brazil-postpones-dst-2018.html

Hi ViniKosmo,

according to https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1110750 the presidential decree is still pending to be released in the Diário Oficial da União.

And while that is a bug opened for OpenSUSE, you can be certain that SUSE is monitoring this for SLES as well.

J

Thank you for the reply!

Im will stay monitoring too.

Thank you again.

timezone and daylight saving time information are stored in rpm “timezone”. RPM “timezone” delivers the “tz database”:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tz_database

# rpm -q timezone timezone-2018e-74.12.1.x86_64

Please check rpm version and the correctness of the daylight saving time information upstream:

You should open a “service request” (SR):
