No Return Daylight Saving Time in Turkey

Hi All,

Turkish government has decided that the country will not return from daylight saving time to standard time. The clocks will permanently remain on the current settings.

This means, our time zone will be UTC +3 in 30 Oct 2016.

I would like to ask, Is there patch or something else for SLES about this issue?

What can we do ?

Thank you.

Hi
I’ve asked my SUSE Contacts if updates are in the pipeline.

I see from the web interface that you are using SLES11 SP3. Given
General Support for this ended on 31 January following the release of
SP3 in July 2015 do you have Long Term Service Pack Support (LTSS)?

I ask because SUSE released an updated timezone package on 10 October
which included a change for Turkey remaining on UTC+03 after 2016-10-30
but it’s only available for currently supported product versions or
those with LTSS in place.
