Brainshare

I just noticed in my nntp app that brainshare forum is no longer there. Does
this mean that now that microfocus owns them there will be no more
Brainshares?

Over the years the forum has come and gone as it becomes a target for
spammers (they think nobody is watching, and Google still crawls, so
things go there and take a lot of wasted time to clean with minimal value
added). When the conference approaches, it gets added back. I’d assume
this is the case. The SUSECon forum came and went a few times too, though
I’m not sure what the status is there right now.

Good luck.

Thanks ab

But has anyone any clue when the next Brainshare might be?

At the beginning of the year I heard rumors, that it might happen in a 18-month rhythm, meaning spring 2016, but I haven’t seen any signs that should appear now (Call for papers, first announcements etc., entry in the Salt Palace Calendar) when it would be spring 2016.

There is none on the calendar right now. There has been some internal
discussion about changing the format and combining it with Micro Focus
Dev Days, but that’s just in the idea stage.
