cgiemail question

I’ve had a working cgiemail setup for going on years now, but after updating
my website recently I am having problems with the first field in the form
getting dropped out resulting in the form successfully being generated but
not being delivered.

Here is the generated code for a dropped field:

`

`

Here is the generated code for a working field.

`

`

And here is the form template:

To: info@notreal.com
Subject: Inquiry

[Company]
[Industry]
[State]
[City]
[Volume]
[Line]
[Contact]
[How]
[Keywords]

The Company= field is being dropped (see below, abc is test data) yet
resulting in a success page:

The following email message was sent.
To: info@notreal.com
Subject: Inquiry

abc <-----------Problem is here should be Company=abc
Industry=abc
State=abc
City=abc
Volume=abc
Line=abc
Contact=Name:abc
Address1:abc
Address2:abc
Address3:abc
Phone:abc
E-Mail:abc
Website:abc
Twitter:abc
Facebook:abc
Notes:abc
How=Google
Keywords=abc
Submit=Submit

cgiemail 1.6

My understanding from reading on cgiemail if all fields are not populated
it will state that the email is sent, but it really isn’t. The cgiemail at
the web host is a compiled binary and I have spoken with them and their
answer is “We don’t support scripts.” (Even though it is provided in their
hosting cgi-bin directory.) ; )

Any ideas?

If the code of both broken and working fields areas above then the thing I
notice with the broken field is is repeated twice.

HTH.

I chopped off a bit of the Company table that’s why there is the extra
/table. Thanks for looking.

Okay, I found the issue with the field getting dropped,
it was a page encoding issue…needed to be set in my
app in a little dropdown window.

Still not getting the submitted form via email, but that
seems to be another issue. Making progress anyway!

8/10

Would’ve been a perfect 10 rant if you’d not run it through spellcheck
first. :wink:
