Anyone have any good tools (preferably free) for repairing a corrupt
pdf file? It’s basically a document of scanned pages, and I’m not sure
what happened but it cannot be opened.
Everything I’ve found online doesn’t do anything to fix it, or it comes
back as a document full of watermarks with nothing left of the document.
I have faced that problem several times but never found anything that
was helpful, alas.

Have you guys tried LibreOffice?
I have used those to open and fix many PDF’s before
What’s the name of that? It could be good to have around, just in case!

Susan sounds like they ‘said’:

Have you tried opening it in a stand-alone PDF editor? :)[/color]
So my response to Susan’s comment is…
We’ve tried it in (I can’t remember how many) PDF editors, repair
packages.
I found one yesterday that actually gave me the first page from the
demo, so I tried their online version, recovered 266 of 267 pages.
Only cost $5.
