forget root password

I’m running SLED 11 SP1 and i have forgotten the root’s password, how to refind it or/and reset the password…

Hi
At the boot screen (grub) in the options field enter;

init=/bin/bash

This should get you to the root prompt #, run the command;

passwd

This will reset, then reboot the system.
