forgot the root password , how to reset it for SUSE 12 SP2/3

Hi All

I have forgot the root password SLES for SAP 12 SP2, how can i reset it. i am unable to get the screen where boot options can be added?
kindly share the details.
Looks the steps are different than the SLES SP11 or 10.

below steps are not worked for me since these are for only upto 11.

Since it’s systemd, have a read here on how to get to single user mode;

Then on boot edit the grub menu to add the single user mode target, you should then be able to reset following on from step 4 of the document…
