Just wanted to share this article on how to increase your speed of Windows 7 guests on Xen.
Not sure if this works on other Windows guest like Windows 2008 server etc.
But if you do not need USB connectivity it is sure worth a try :

It’s interesting to see the suggestion is to disable the USB Root HUB at Windows level instead of disabling USB support within the VM’s/domU configuration.
