How do I install sox on SLES 11 sp4? It does not seem to be in the default repos or in the sdk repo.

By SOX/sox do you mean SoX as in Sound eXchange?
I think your best bet is to install a SLE11 SP3 compiled version
available via the openSUSE Build Service @
http://software.opensuse.org/package/sox
Note however that since SLES is an Enterprise product this would be
unsupported by SUSE.
