java question

Anyone know the easiest / best way to eliminate local sites from
forcing a prompt to ‘allow’ or ‘not allow’ access to a site via browser?

We are trying to get everyone on the same version here (decided with
around v7 update 65). Some of our hvac units use java via web access.
We’re starting to deploy the exception.sites to the following folder:

%userprofile%\appdata\locallow\sun\deployment\security

This file allows sites like our hvac and timeclock to work, they just
bring up a message asking whether to run java or not.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I should have mentioned, I’d rather do this where the security
settings for the pc / browser itself don’t get turned down or whatever
needs done, but if there’s a way to do this for the few local sites we
have.

This way it would only be set for our sites vs anywhere else on the web.

This is not an exact answer, but my experience is that in Firefox on the
top left side when you running java, you will have two buttons (can’t
remember exactly the wording) but one is “allow this time only” and
“allow and remember”. I don’t know about the other browsers.
