Ugh, Sophos did a doozy yesterday afternoon (bout 3pm MDT).
Released an ide for their A/V software that generated a false positive,
which in turn partially crippled Sophos’ ability to update itself.
Nice unanticipated project fixing the stragglers.
How do you know that antivirus heuristics are all crap? When you get
enough “patterns” you start matching everything. Thanks-you Sophos for
making that obvious for customers.
